Today, Google has done a little rebranding of all their media service, putting them all under the name “Google Play”. They’ve merged everything under the same name, while retaining their function. Under the Google Play brand is Android Market, Google Books, Google Videos, Google Music, and Google Music. All services have retained their features and will function the same as before, just under a name name scheme, and all of them being cloud services. All affected apps will be updated to incorporate the new look and name, as will the websites for each service.

But in reality, getting everything to work can be the exact opposite—moving files between your computers, endless syncing across your devices, and wires…lots of wires. Today we’re eliminating all that hassle with Google Play, a digital entertainment destination where you can find, enjoy and share your favorite music, movies, books and apps on the web and on your Android phone or tablet.
