It appears Samsung has recently posted a news alert on their site announcing that on March 10th, the original Samsung Galaxy S II will be receiving the long overdue Android 4.0 update. It was last December when Samsung announced their roadmap for the update and finally, the first wave will be pushed out on Saturday. In addition to Android 4.0, the updated TouchWiz skin will be draped over the core of Android. Samsung says you need the latest version of KIES, 2.0, to receive the update. Information has not yet been released about when the US variants of the device will receive the update. It should be long, though, before carriers reveal their plans, as Verizon has already done so.
Update: Samsung has stated the post was a mistake and that the upgrade will not be released this Saturday. They say they will pass along more information when the update is ready.
