A few days ago, I told you about a leaked render of the Galaxy S3, but the image was quickly debunked due to inconsistencies. This morning, a Reddit user posted an image of what looks to be a Galaxy S III with a large display leaving no bezel, a silvery edging like the new Galaxy Tabs, Android 4.0, and a very, very thin casing. A widget on the devices display seems to read:
“[May 22, 2012] TUE 6:00-7:00 PM
Watch a Live Broadcast of the GALAXY S III
In additions, a widget at the top shows the weather forecast for London, suggesting the event would occur in London. It’s not rare to see a leaked press photo as an announcement date nears, in fact it happens quite often. You can see the branding of the Galaxy S III, as well as “Weber Shandwick” at the bottom right, a company that has done press-related work with Samsung in the past. It’s very likely that this image is real, and Samsung event said they’d make an announcement for the device before the first half of 2012 ends. It could still be awhile before an event is announced, especially if the May 22nd date holds true.
