AT&T One X and Sprint EVO 4G LTE clear US Customs

HTC has just announced that the AT&T HTC One X and the HTC EVO 4G LTE have been cleared by US Customs. This means that both devices should start showing up in retail channels soon – again for the AT&T One X and for the first time for the EVO 4G LTE. It appears that HTC has applied some software patches to be in compliance with the ITC’s patent rulings against HTC and their future devices.

“HTC has completed the review process with US Customs and HTC devices have been released, as they are in compliance with the ITC’s ruling. Future shipments should continue to enter the US and we are confident that we will soon be able to meet the demand for our products.”

The last we knew, Sprint was beginning to ship their EVO preorders, but they had not given a retail release date. It’s unclear as to whether HTC will elaborate on the topic or whether they’re leaving it up to Sprint and AT&T to make their own announcements. Either way, I’ll keep you up to date.
