HTC M7 to have all black design, launch with new version of Sense

HTC Source has some more information regarding the HTC M7 today thanks to a source from inside HTC. According to the source, the M7 will feature an all black hardware design akin to that of the Droid DNA, contradicting a rumor which stated it would have an aluminum uni-body design. The device is also said to be currently running Android 4.1.2, with the possibility of being updated prior to launch, in addition to a new version of Sense which the source says has a “simple and clean UI”. HTC Source isn’t sure if it’s Sense 5.0 or another iteration of Sense 4+ which isn’t all that old.

HTC Source previously reported that the M7 would have a 5-inch (now rumored to be 4.7) 1080p HD display, a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB of RAM, a 13 megapixel camera, and 32GB of storage. They also say it’s currently being tested on Sprint’s LTE network, although it’ll likely launch on the other 3 major US carriers as well. HTC is aiming to launch the device some time this quarter and it will likely be made official at either CES or Mobile World Congress.
