Sony has announced it’s latest flagship device at CES 2013 today in the Xperia Z. The Xperia Z, as rumored, has a a 5-inch 1080p display with Sony’s Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, a quad-core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 13 megapixel Exmor RS camera sensor. The device is 7.9mm thin, has water and dust resistance, a 2330 mAh battery, 4G LTE connectivity, and NFC capabilities. Sony also announced the Xperia ZL which has the exact same specs as the Xperia Z, but in a smaller form factor. Both will also run Android 4.1 at launch, but Sony says they’ll be updated to Android 4.2 shortly after launch.
The Xperia Z and Xpera ZL will launch sometime in Q1 of this year, but Sony wasn’t any more specific than that.
