Sony announced today that their new Xperia Tablet Z will be launching globally in Q2 of this year. Sony doesn’t say exactly which countries will be blessed with the thinnest 10-inch tablet in the world, although at MWC, they said it’d arrive in the US in May.
In case you forgot, the Xperia Tablet Z is the thinnest and lightest 10-inch tablet, measuring in at 6.9mm and 495g, has a quad-core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro processor with 2GB of RAM, an 8 megapixel camera, NFC, and is water-resistant. It will launch running Android 4.2, but Sony says it’ll be updated shortly after. The 16GB model will cost $499 and the 32GB model will cost $599.
