Apple released iOS 6.1.3 today as a minor update for all iOS 6 supported devices. The update brings a fix for the security flaw that could allow someone to gain access to your Phone app by exploiting a lock screen flaw, as well as Map improvements for Japan.
This update contains improvements and bug fixes, including:
- Fixes a bug that could allow someone to bypass the passcode and access the Phone app
- Improvements to Maps in Japan
The update also reportedly patches the Evasi0n jailbreak, although a tethered jailbreak has already been released for iOS 6 devices utilizing pre-A5 chips. If you’re jailbroken, updating to 6.1.3 will remove your jailbreak and render you unable to re-jailbreak for you’re device is an iPhone 4S or later, an iPod touch 5 or later, or iPad 2 or later.
Apple also released iOS 5.2.1 for the Apple TV second gen or later which patches some security flaws and brings a redesigned Hulu interface.
