Flipboard updated to version 2.0 on iOS

Posted by: Brett

Flipboard for iOS has been updated to version 2.0 and it brings with it some welcomed new features. Version 2.0 lets you create your own magazines, which other users can search and subscribe to, if you don’t choose to make it private, of course. There’s also a bookmarklet you can add to Safari to let you add articles to your magazine from the browser itself. You can choose to get notifications when someone subscribes, likes, or comments on your magazine.

Here’s everything else that’s new in v2.0:

★ You can now collect and save content into your own magazines, tap the new “+” button to get started. If you prefer to remove the “+” button, you can turn it Off in Settings.
★ Your magazines are public, but can be made private (viewable only to you) at any time.
★ Use the new bookmarklet to add items to your magazines from your browser. Get it at https://share.flipboard.com.
★ Get Flipboard notifications when people like, comment or subscribe to your magazines.
★ Email whole magazines or share them to your social network. Of course, you can still share or email any single article, photo or video.
★ Personalized recommendations for more to add to your Flipboard.
★ Search is now front and center on your Flipboard, with new improved results.
★ Faster page-loading and faster flipping performance.

The update is free and is available now in the iOS App Store. It’ll be available next month on Android.
