Galaxy Note 10.1 set to launch this month

Posted by: Brett

Samsung has taken the wraps off the Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet – again – and it doesn’t look too shabby this time around. We had a look at the Note 10.1  back in February at Mobile World Congress, but the only thing that differentiated it from the Galaxy Tab was the S Pen. Samsung went back to the drawing board and overhauled the tablet’s innards, adding in the same quad-core 1.4 GHz Exynos processor seen in the Galaxy SIII, as well as a whopping 2GB of RAM, making this one heck of a tablet.

It includes all the S Pen apps you’d expect, a 5 megapixel back camera and a 1.9 megapixel front camera, as well as Android 4.0 (you can pretty much expect Jelly Bean to come by the end of this year). The tablet will launch in WiFi and 3G varieties at first with an LTE model coming later this year.

Google Nexus tablet to be revealed at Google I/O

Posted by: Brett

According to TechnoBuffalo and their trusted source, Google is getting ready to reveal an ASUS built Nexus tablet at their developer’s conference late next month. As I reported on earlier, Google is planning on making this a budget tablet which will be around $199 at launch. Don’t let the pricing fool you though, as the tablet is expected to incorporate an NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor. TechnoBuffalo is not sure whether the tablet will run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich or Android 5.0 Jelly Bean at launch.

The tablet is said to be a result NVIDIA’s “Project Kai” which the goal of it is to manufacture budget quad-core Tegra 3 tablets.
